Politicks

Politicks is the creative collaboration between producer/guitarist, Mike Trella and singer/lyricist, Matthew Green. Politicks formed in Washington D.C. in 2004 and has performed with numerous legendary artists and worked with several Grammy-winning producers.

Trella recently composed the original score for the groundbreaking, feature-film, “The Hornet’s Nest” in addition to writing four original songs for the soundtrack with Green. The duos’ contribution to the soundtrack are heavily indebted to classic rock luminaries, such as Led Zeppelin and Creedence Clearwater and includes the movie’s theme song, “Chariots”, which is dedicated to the film ‘s Gold Star families.

The pair also partnered with No Slack Battalion’s, Specialist Brit Jacobs, to record Brit’s ode to his fellow soldier’s, “Follow You Home”, which was co-produced by Cactus Moser from Wynonna Judd and the Big Noise. Politicks has been performing at sold-out “Hornet’s Nest” promotional events across the country for the past year and will continue to tour in support of the movie and the soundtrack throughout the summer.
